This week topic of Introduction to Greek Civilization and Culture course is “Karagiozis” (traditional Greek shadow theatre). It will be facilitated by Dr. Papageorgiou from the Department of Theatre Studies and Dr. Agrafiotis. The lecture on “Karagiozis” will have a workshop format and include excerpts of an actual shadow theatre performance with Dr. Agrafiotis who is a professional Karagiozis-player (Karagiozopaichtis). Don’t miss this truly unique experience! Not only will you learn about the Greek shadow theatre, but you will also have the opportunity to work with how to prepare one and experience an actual Greek shadow theatre presentation!

The workshop will be held on the Central Library, 1st floor in the seminar room from 15.00-17.30.
